I have been doing 1 hour of intense (running) cardio 5-6 days a week. On average I drink 4 liters of water a day but lately I have been getting a lot of cramping and abdominal pain. Today I could only run for half an hour and had to stop as I was going to
Be sick- most unusual as I love running and can usually handle it with relative ease. I've lost 5 kg and am now at 60 kg and am 5"5 and have noticed in the lat few days my weight has stopped going down so I think I might be at a stupid plateau or something. Any advice on what to do about bloating? I am a vegetarian and eat only whole grain carbs. I also have meal replacement shakes fairly often. I don't have a lot Of salt or anything but I do have a limit of 1150 calories a day.

If your bloating and your weight has platoed maybe it just the wrong time of the month. also legumes if not properly soaked can cause boating, as can eating grape because of the sulphate on the skin, also rice which has not been cooked well enouh for some people can cause bloating. As for nearly being sick on the treadmeal had you had a lot of water befor getting on or eating in the hour befour you started, because stomachs dont like exercise when there busy digesting.0

My two prime suspects when it comes to painful bloating is that time of the month and stuff with probiotics (eg activia yogurt). I also can't handle eating anything or drinking anything (even water) an hour before hitting the gym.
Also to help your weight loss, you might want to look into upping your caloric intake. If you eat too few calories you send your body into starvation mode which complicates weight loss. I'm about 5'1 and I ought to eat a bare minimum of 1100 and something calories on rest days. On days I exercise I need to eat more.0 -
Tnkyou for your replies! It may have had something to do with too much water/ time of the month. I ran a straight six and a half km yesterday with no problems and am feeling much better.0
