Random question... i'm on a 1200 calories a day intake, and love to snack on ham from the supermarkets. (its great because its only 48-50cal for 50g and obviously a bit of protein) Whould this be considered processed? I have cut almost all processed and refined foods from my diet but still a bit unsure about the ham as i'm sure to some extent it is processed.

Any ideas on the matter? Cheers!

Great snack - but yes, it's a processed meat.

It's low on cals but I found it to be far too high in sodium!!

It's processed but if it keeps you on track, I say eat it. I try to eat mostly whole foods, but there are a few convenience foods and condiments that I'm not eliminating. You have to do what works for you! Make sure you're drinking lots of water for that sodium :-)
