have you got anything on mind that you are going to give up for a little while?

i reallly reallly want to give up meat! its going to be hard! but if i can go 13months without bread, and not crave it anymore! and consideringi work in a cafe where i serve out baguettes, bacon butties etc etc i am still going strong and not touched bread since 31st december 2010!

sooo im going to try to give up meat for a while! and see if it has any good effect on my weight loss too! as i eat an awful lot of chicken! (i know chicken is good for you, but i eat loads!)

just wondering, fish isnt a meat is it? cos i eat tons of fish fingers! i dont think i could ever give up fish fingers!

Giving up meat is a great thing to do for lent. Last year I gave up dairy (I was already a lacto vegetarian) and thought it would be impossible because of my love for cheese, which I had most days. Within 4 or 5 days I was amazed how easy I was finding it, so made the switch to vegan there and then and have never looked back.

Fish is indeed meat as it is flesh, but you could be Pescetarian for Lent, which means you give up meat from all animals except fish. If you want to know copy and paste this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pescetarianism

I'm not sure what to give up this year. I will probably have to go back to the usual favourites of crisps or maybe, perish the thought, alcohol :-/
