I've struggled with my weight my entire life, I don't think I've ever experienced being skinny. In 2009, I hit my highest weight of 225lbs, I realized I had to do something. I ended up loosing almost 60lbs and was down to 168lbs. I didn't really do too much except adjust my eating habits to include less junk food and made sure I ate healthy when I could. What helped the most is I walked! Almost everyday I would go for long brisk walks and I didn't have a car at the time so I would walk home from work when I finished early. Fast forward to today, I'm at 187lbs and seem to not be budging, which isn't too too bad, I'm glad I didn't put all the weight back on. I really need to kick it into gear and finally reach my goal weight of 160lbs! I have a busier work schedule (office job) and I drive to work everyday since I need my car during the day sometimes. I have been counting my calories over the past few weeks (before I found My Fitness Pal) and realized I was actually under eating Monday-Friday (usually skip breakfast, have a quick lunch if at all) and on the weekend I end up eating junk food. I just need to work myself into a routine of bringing food with me to work and making sure I have enough calories in my day, then stay away from so much junk on the weekend. Now that its getting to be nicer outside I can add walking more frequently into my routine!

If anyone wants a friend to join them on their journey, let me know! :)

Absolutely will join you in your journey.
  • That's a great plan! I've found MFP to be extremely helpful in showing me what I was doing and when. It's like a bank account for my body :)
