Insanity Challenge = too much??

Hi everyone,
I want to take the Insanity challenge, but usually don't workout more than 3-4x aweek. I always thought that your body needs a rest day after an exercise day, so I'm just confused... is the Insanity challenge just too much?

I haven't tried that one yet,I work out 6-7 days a week but everyone is different.I do a lot of yoga and stretching.0

It's pretty strenuous and I'm thin already, just trying to tone up. It seems really good for that but I don't want to burn myself out, ya know?0

I am in my second week now and enjoy it. The workouts are different routines but utilize alot of the same exercises. It is definitely a good cardio workout and will get you sweating. For someone who has never done workout DVD's going for 6 days in a row hasn't killed me yet. Give it a shot!0

Try it and see if you like it. If you only want to do 3-4 days a week do that. I know people get crazy results doing it 6 days a week but I couldn't keep the up, personally. Even I hear people doing 30 Day Shred for 30 days straight - despite the fact Jillian says you should take rest days. The additional workout, and the change of workout will benefit you more than sitting on your butt

You can modify it to your own pace, and set your own goals. I've done that with P90X, where I've taken exercises that benefit me most, and leave out others for training elsewhere (like running), so I don't follow the program exactly, and just take what I need. You can always add more on if you feel like you want to challenge yourself.0
