What are the best (at home) leg workouts with weights?

We have a bar and several plates. What workouts are the best?
Also, how many different leg exercises should you do each day you work your legs? How about upper body as well? We (hubby and I) are completing 3-4 exercises per area every other day (legs one day, upper body the next).
I should add, we are working at our max as far as weights, doing 6-8 reps each time, and three sets of each exercise.

But I would suggest doing lunges and squats for sure (different variations of each) You can do different kinds of workouts such as a full body one and workout three times a week or you can split it up to upper/lower body and workout 4-5 times a week. it's really what fits in your schedule the best. I'm no expert, just offering my opinion.

Lunges & squats are great for working your legs. Also i put ankle weights around my ankles and lay in floor and do leg raises. That takes inches off your hips.0

Thanks! I want to lift heavy also, so I wondered what good exercises were out there using heavy weights. What I tried yesterday didn't really work for me.0

I choose quads, you can change this to glutes or hamstrings.
