Hi,

Since last week I have experienced terrible pain in the ball of my left foot, I can't put any pressure on it so it is leaving me limping, I am starting to worry as it is showing no signs of healing up anytime soon.

Has anyone esle experienced this?

What would you reccomend so ease the pain?

Thank you

Did you land on it hard? or did it just happen? Did you step on something and get a splinter? hard to say what it is

If it's SO bad that NOTHING helps, go see a doctor!

    Here's a few at-home remedies:

*Epsom salt with warm water-soak a bit.
*Can your man give you a foot massage?
*Try a store-bought massager...they're usually not too expensive, and there's many different kinds.
*Pop an ibuprofen if nothing else helps.
  • Thanks for the replys

Chris - I haven't landed on it hard, or even banged my toe, I just woke up in the morning and couldn't put any pressure on the ball of the foot or lift the toe up without excrutiating pain.

Sabrina - LOL I know I think when he is at nursery tomorrow I will try and keep it elevated :-)

Tenoreo - Will definately try the foot soak, ive popped some Ibuprofen, I cant even massage it its that painful, I'll see if it sticks around this week if so I'll head to the doctors

    Thansk everyone xxx

I went to the dr once for a pain in the bottom of my foot. He suggested getting one of those flat spongy things to put just before or after where the pain is. It's like a blue triangle looking thing with rounded corners. (It sticks to the bottom of your foot). It relieves the pressure on whatever is hurting and I no longer was limping. I didn't think something like that would work but it did! I don't know if it was by Dr. Scholls or another brand- I got it at Walmart.

I'm having a similar issue, but the pain is in a little different of a spot.
I went to see my doctor and I actually have a tear in my ligament.
He gave me anti inflammatory medicine (try Aleve) and told me to stay off it as much as possible.
  • Tangerine - ~Thank you I will have a look for this, I am willing to try anything at this present time :-)

JHB - I will have a look for that medicine, i think Im just going to have to bite the bullet and go and see the doctor

Thank you for taking the time to reply x
