I have been a type 1 diabetic for 24 years and i find it hard to lose weight does anyone have any ideas to increase weight loss?

Hey there! I've been type 1 diabetic for almost 12 yrs and losing weight is very hard...especially when you're diabetic. Here's my advice Use myfitnesspal to count your calories. Don't cheat. And try to exercise every day even if it's only 15 mins. Like I said it's hard, but keep with it and you will lose weight!0

I've been a type one diabetic for 12 years not too. It is definitly hard to lose weight being diabetic.
But recently, ( started Jan 1st) i've lost 22 lbs just by using MFP and tracking what I eat. I was amazed at how many calories I was eating before!! No wonder I wouldn't lose weight... It can be done, you just have to make yourself do it! it's not easy but with some support and dicipline you can do it!!
FYI: are you apart of the Type on diabetic group on here??
