Motivation for Needing to Lose 10-15 lbs? Anyone?

I lost 95 lbs 10 years ago. In the last 5 yrs I've gained back 10-15 lbs of it. My goal is to lose it and not gain! But I'm having the hardest time staying motivated. I'm in a size 8, I work out 6 days a week, LOVE working out, am pretty fit , do some tough workouts. Love to run, lift weight, HiiT's, whatEVER. I am pretty fit, if I say so myself.
I've been having a hard time with motivation. If I get "cravings" I tell myself it's ok to give in, because I'm not in a bad place to begin with. I'm in shape, in a decent size, and don't "need" to lose weight.
But I DO have some jiggly and bulgy places (lower half) and am not where I truly want to be.
Where do people in similiar situations get motivation from? Where do you pull that self control from? What is your "pie in the sky"?
I need that!!

I'm a similar size (size 8, 5'10, with "jiggly bits" I don't love). This year, I've discovered two sources of motivation: I signed up for a 10k, and I know we are heading to the beach this summer. I don't want to embarrass myself at the race and I want to be comfortable in a swimsuit. (I may or may not silently chant "Bi-ki-ni! Bi-ki-ni!" while I run.) Having those two sort of shallow goals is helping keep me on track.
I know what you mean, though. When you are healthy and happy, sometimes it's hard to find a strong motivation to lose those last few pounds. 'Cause at this point, it's really all about vanity.0 -
Honestly, I listen/read about people who have lost/released weight and coaches and what they tell their clients. The message boards at Beachbody used to be a huge motivation for me, but things changed when they changed their own format. Now, I hope to find YOU in WOWY knowing I am not alone, even though I am working out alone at home.
You might want to think about the fact the reason we do hang onto fat is because of the fact we don't relax enough with any workouts and count too much on the calories burned instead of doing workouts like QiGong, Yoga, Pilates that puts the mind, body into a different place than when you are training like an athlete competing against how many calories you can burn this time so you can eat the extras you crave without guilt. The cortisol in our bodies continues to build with no way to release it without relaxing. When your body has too much cortisol, it hangs onto the fat as if your body was in starvation mode. FACT.
Active Recovery Weeks are essential to working out hard because when you do return to your normal level of training, your body has had a chance to stretch, limber up and work harder. Knowing that you do schedule an Active Recovery Week trains your brain for the before and after as well. This is something Kathy Smith taught us when we did Project:You and over the years of having to go for Physical Therapy, all the therapists recommend this.
I honestly find this time of the year and in the heat of summer the hardest times to stay motivated. That's when I ask God to help me and inspire me when I am finding I am disappointing myself.
This Mile a Day in 2012 above my morning routine has made the most surprising difference in my inches lost this winter and today will be Mile 53. When the weather is nice, I take advantage of it and walk more than 1 Mile, but the fact is that minimum of 1 Mile more often than not fits into my lifestyle the way I want it to and it is my choice to listen to music or a workout program to push myself or a walk at a leisurely pace taking in nature and getting outside into the real sunlight.0 -

I can easily change this 4th week of P90X into more of an "active recovery" instead of pushing myself. Yoga's, Stretches and walks/small runs. Now that the sun is getting stronger and it's a bit warmer, I will try to get outside more as well.
And I'm definitely going to incorporate Yoga into my next rotation too.0
