I've learned that I can do my cardio faster and longer if I read from my Kindle while I work out. I save my music for the weights, and even then I don't listen to it much.

This is what I just started doing too! I find it amazing because I get very bored just listening to music but when I read on my playbook during cardio the time flies and I can go much longer and harder bc it is a distraction from the fatigue (particularly if it is a really good book :p)

I absolutely love songs I can't take seriously as well, though not necessarily for workout music, though some certainly qualify.
