Kinect Recommendations

I bought the biggest loser for the xbox but I am frustrated with the menus. I want something very easy to use, when I get frustrated trying to get it to work I just quit. I can't afford to buy very many games. Can anyone suggest a good xbox kinect game for me? I should say that I am just starting to workout and I weigh just under 300 pounds.

I highly recommend Dance Central and Zumba for the XBOX kinect. I have lost 14lbs from using them and they are way too fun!0

I have this game too. I also find the menu very frustrating. I was actually about to sell it but I have read that the exercises are quite good so I'm going to give it another chance.
It's just when you have simple menus like dance central and your shape fitness evolved, game like this make you not even want to put it in the console lol0 -
Personally I've found Kinect Sports Season one to be very helpful, and easy to use too. It may not shift weight as fast as Zumba, or Just Dance, but it certainly has increased my stamina and fitness levels.0

I have Your Fitness Evolved 2012 and it ROCKS!!!!!! I'm getting the Zumba one soon.0

We have your shape fitness evolved 2012 as well.
It has tonnes of stuff to do, dancing, bootcamps, boxing etc etc etc.0 -
Another recommendation for Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2012.
There are a LOT of different exercises you can do. Each type builds on itself becoming longer and harder. You can set up a fitness plan based on what you want to do and it will recommend which exercises for you to do and how many times for you to do them. If you can catch it, it occasionally goes for $29.99 on amazon. I just purchased it last week at this price but now it's gone back up to $45.
I'm not sure how the original Your Shape Fitness Evolved compares to the 2012 version but I'm sure it's cheaper now if price is a concern for you.
I also have Just Dance 3 and while hard, it is so much fun!0 -
I do most of my cardio with the Kinect- there is a lot you can do. Yes, the Biggest Loser menus are horribly designed- the workouts are great though (I love the yoga).
I use Kinect Adventures in free play mode and do a half an hour workout- bubble pop, dodgeball, raft, reflex ridge, raft, bubble pop, reflex ridge, raft, bubble pop and finish with either Fruit Ninja (different game) or a few rounds of the plugging a leak game as a cool down. I weigh around 260 now and burn roughly between 220-310 cals. I really hop around for my size lol
I also use Kinect Sports season two- I use skiing and tennis (against hard opponents) as my workouts. I enjoy on my rest days just playing golf and keeping limber. I also enjoy making my character dance
For people who are already in general shape- the workout specific games are fine. For me- they're just a little too much. I'm working up to doing them though by 'playing' the games. Honestly- at this point movement is my goal. If I do the workout specific games my heartrate goes into non-fat burning territory really fast. The regular games are all I need. Also- another great thing about Kinect Adventures is that you can pick it up for under five bucks used at most GameStop stores.0 -
Thank you everyone. I really need to get the fitness part of this going.0
