    I usually don't participate but I'm going thru some life changes so I thought I should start. I'm giving up alcohol and sweets and planning to pray alot more than I have been.

    It is a tough decision...I don't have a facebook page, I don't drink soda, I'm not much of a "drinker". I am already in the process of budgeting my finances! I would love to give something up for lent. I guess Chocolate? or maybe ice cream (like from TCBY). I am in love with that place. Well good luck to all.

    I'm giving up alcohol, and I say this because I normally only drink wine. Last year, I gave up wine for lent, and hubby(being the smarty pants that he is!) took me to dinner and ordered me a margarita, saying "it's not wine!" I'm contemplating giving up chocolate too...

    So many folks giving up Facebook. I wonder if there's any place to find stats on FB usage during Lent. :)

    Some other good ideas in there. I'm going to try to pray more, too. I'm loving reading what other people are giving up.
