Hello, Newbie on MFP!!

Hello Everyone!!
I am 34 years old and have 40 pounds to loose. I have 3 kids that I want to be around for in the next 40 years so I know I HAVE to make some changes not that I haven't tried. I have, but then I get discouraged and have not been able to suceed. This has just made me depressed and I have noticed that I have been hiding from people that used to know me just not to feel bad about myself, all I am creating is more low self esteem. So after a very long converstion with myself I decided that I am worth much more than hiding in my house or feeling sorry for myself. I have to do this for me and for my family and a new me will hopefully emerge full of energy and a higher self esteem which will help me improve many other areas in my life as well. I am very excited about my future and about what I want to achieve!!! I want to thank you guys at MFP for having such a wonderful site which is encouraging and informative at the same time, and also to my hopefully new friends at the site your posting have been very inspiring.
