I'm err, asking for a friend...

Is increased protein consumption a cause and reason of increased trumps?

Or is it a by-product found in protein shakes?

Remember, this is for my friend that is interested in knowing for his college research

  • Yes, increasing your protein intake will cause gas. I went from an averaqe of about 60g/day to over 200g/day now. Few months of extra gas, but I think my body got used to it. I noticed it if I took shakes or not.

It could ALSO be due to the artificial sweetener in the protein shakes. Take a look at the label and look up the side effects of whatever sweetener is used. This is one of MANY reasons I took artificial sweeteners out of my diet. I eat high protein 90-120g per day and do not have problems anymore (unless I eat beans!).

You realize that is just because you stopped smelling it... stopped caring about it... or just stopped realized it was happening with the frequency of it...

I sure am glad my body will (hopefully) adjust!! I am not normally gassy, and it is making me a little bit frustrated to be extremely gassy!

If you introduce added protein gradually there won't be so much gas and yes the body does adjust.

Personally, I would be upset if my average farts per week (AFW) decreased.

it's not the quantity that counts, its the quality.

Also keep an eye on your ingredients for suagr alcohol (sugar free gums and mints usually have them). Those are highly responsible for dieting toots!

Offensive lol, that's made me giggle.

I'm glad others are owning up to the air biscuit influx, now I don't feel so bad.

Researching farts would be kind of funny though. Parpology

Let there be no shame in your anal blasting game. Please do open a window and be kind to those in the vicinity though.

(Took my body a while to adjust to eating better. I sure do know about it when I eat crappy stuff on occasion -- or, should I say, the husband knows about it. That unlucky fool... )

I just wanted to note what a difference punctuation makes in the title sentence:

That gentleman, was a fart. (leads me to believe the gentleman was a fart even with unnecessary comma after gentleman.)

That, gentleman, was a fart. (Indicates that you are explaining to the gentleman that you just passed gas.)

So, which is it, is the gentleman a fart or was the fart a fart? *puzzled*
