What do you wear for running in winter?

The sidewalks aren't frozen over anymore, so I'm officially out of excuses.
What do you guys suggest for running at 5 degree Celsius?
I'm not going all out on jogging equipment, until I know I'll actually continue doing it.
I was thinking a t-shirt, long sleeve shirt a hoodie and a hat, of course.
Or do you think I am better off with a semi-lightweight windbreaker?
Yeah, shoes and pants are a given

I run in those temps often. I wear a long sleeve under armour type shirt with a short sleeve shirt on top of it. Also a hat, gloves and running pants. I don't wear a hoodie or a coat, just the 2 shirts. As long as the sun is out, 5 degrees celsius isn't that cold once you get going. Gloves are key.0

I saw someone else post this before

I run about 5 days a week.
I wear a long sleeve shirt, windbreaker jacket, thin long johns, and windbreaker pants, thick socks, and a toque, and medium think gloves.
I'm never cold and don't get over heated.
If you wear too much you will over heat, you may be a little cold when you start but that will go away quickly.
Hope this helps

Man. I'm such a wuss. If it's that cold, I don't run outside. Then again, It doesn't really even get that cold here (central Texas). Today it's 80 degrees out!0

When it's really cold, I wear my fleece pants, long sleeve t-shirt, fleece top, sweatshirt, fleece vest, balaclava, beanie on top, thin fleece glove, big mittens. As long as you don't get tired, you are good. If you get too fatigued on a long run and you slow down, your heart rate drops too much and you get cold. Like you were just walking. If you keep your intensity up, no problem. Your body generates a ton of heat. I wear much more than most, but I'm a baby. I would much rather be a little on the warm side than freezing.0

I love my Under Armor shirt as well. It's tight and holds in the warmth as well as wicking the sweat away. I'd wear a Long Sleeve T over it as you will warm up really quickly. If it is windy I also wear a headband over my ears and my Under Armor running gloves.0

Weekdays I'm running around 4:45 so no sun yet. An Under Armour long sleeve shirt and a windbreaker, and longs pants. I'll take a hat an gloves but usually end up carrying them or stuffing them in a pocket after a few laps. Best of luck getting out there to run.0

Yay, I actually did it
And, of course, I was dressed too warm...
By the time I figure it out it'll be summer ;p0
