This may sound funny, but I try to do the 30DS in the pool. High knees, jump rope, boxing, I run or jog until I sink lol, jumping jacks are a lot easier in the pool. (probably not advisable with your hip) I basically just keep moving, to really get heart rate up even more I will just do a lap or two and then go back to doing the things I mentioned above.
Time goes by faster with a partner.

See if your health club has some of those Aqua dumbbells and use them to do 'weights' in the pool. If you can touch the bottom then big walking strides, if not then cycling treading water ( some pools have deep water aqua belts you can wear to also do this) Get a kickboard, aka float, and do lengths of kick only. Go to an Aqua class and do as much as you can ( tell the instructor of your injury and they should be able to help you)

    Good luck

to change things up a little try focusing on certain body parts.use a kickboard to work those legs (and abs!). or try to kick as little as possible and use big strokes!
