Lunches that don't require refridgeration!

I'm a college student who commutes.
I leave my house at about 7.15, get to tech at about 8.15 and then I have to wait until 10 for my class to start. My lunch break isn't until 1pm.
Is there any foods that can be recommended (apart from my boring old lettuce and cream cheese sandwiches) that can be kept in a bag in warm weather for six/seven hours?

I'd honestly invest in an insulated lunchbox with an ice pack.0

I keep something like a peanut butter and banana sandwich with a special K bar in my purse and just buy a bottle of water. I've been meaning to branch out more, though.0
