Hey guys! So I like to have chicken/fish + veggies.
I used to add morrocan seasoning to my chicken until I realised how high in sodium it was! so depressing because I loved the flavour
Any suggestions on sauces or spice I can add to my meals? Having plain chicken with veggies is just a bit bland for me.

I like freshly ground black pepper, oregano, or a splash of balsamic dressing.
Also, many of the Mrs. Dash seasonings are salt-free. I'm working to reduce sodium myself and plan to check these out!0 -

^^^ This too. The herb and onion one is great!0 -
We used to microwave chicken breasts with a little lemon juice or vinegar - works very well for fish as well.0

I made this roasted capsicum sauce that is incredibly low in calories and has no salt.
I think it is called Red Kosai and is African or something.
Recipe:
Roast 1 or more red capsicums whole in a hot oven until the skin blisters and goes black in places.
Take out of the oven and put in a zip lock bag for a few minutes. This helps you remove the skin.
Peal off the skin from the capsicums once they are cool enough to handle. Throw away the skin, seeds and stems.
Put capsicums in a blender with a little white vinegar. Traditionally the recipe also has a little olive oil and about a tsp of sugar but these are not necessary.
This is delicious with everything. Anytime you would use a tomato sauce, you could use this instead. It even works as a base for a pasta sauce.0 -
Salsas, mustard based sauces, savory vegetables like onions cooked in a little olive or canola oil- yummy additions for flavor.0

Thanks for the suggestions with Mrs Dash, however I don't believe it is available in Australia?0 -
