And if so how did they work? I've already bought the shakes just not used them yet, really appreciate any advice as thinking about replacing my breakfast and lunch with them.

    Hi,
I drink the chocolate delight sculptress shake for breakfast most mornings, just before I head off to the gym or as a bump to my calories last thing at night. Its quite good, delicious and really filling. The only problem I've got with it is the amount of carbs and sugar it's got per serving...(grams of carbs are more than protein) so sometimes I feel it unnecessarily bumps up my macros for the day..
    Just my 2 cents...

I am using the chocolate one from 2 years!
I used to drink it every day post my gym workout around 30-40grams scoop with water
but after joining MFP I am have it only on days when I burn around 700-900 calories because I am vegetarian so for protein I need to have that shake .. to reach the protein goal.
Its really good in taste but I won't say low on calorie .. around 10 grams protein in 123 calories. I try to have natural protein first and if I still do not meet the desired amount of protein then I use the shake (mostly when I workout twice a day!)
    but its good try it!

I am sure where it is most beneficial is to drain your pocketbook for money.

I agree way too expensive they are!
Thats why I have switched to natural protein as much as I can :-)

I don't use the shakes because they seem really expensive compared to other brands but I do eat the protein bars, not as a meal replacement but as a snack. The choc orange ones are delicious and 20g protein.

My personal trainer just gave me the strawberry sundae to try. Way too expensive and i think i'll be giving it away as i don't like the taste. I am struggling with protein though and have gone from working out . . . well never, to every day. So i am actually looking for a good food source without a lot of other bad things. Best i've found so far is tuna packed in water, but even then it's high in sodium.

I do like the chocolate orange bars though. They are good for an end of day calorie boost, make me feel full for a pretty long time, and feel like a chocolate indulgence. Still, all of it, powder and bars, are more calories than i want them to be.
  • i have a nearly full tub of the very pricey strawberry flavour festering away in my cupboard as it tastes vile! i even tried adding fruit, changed from water to milk yet still horrid!
i get my protein now from natural sources, (mainly chicken, pork, salmon) and feel much better than having to drink sculptress.

  • Oh I have to agree...the strawberry is VILE! it is so foul that to use it up I am using a scoop of chocolate with 1 scoop of the strawberry to help mask the flavour and smell!!! I opened a new strawberry yesterday and the smell was so horrid, plastic/chemicals...I contacted Maxitone and they are collecting it to check it out.

I am looking for an alternative shake that isn't full of sugar? If anyone can recommend a nice tasting shake that isn't packed to the hilt with sugar, I'd love to hear about it!

If you're using it for protein, just get a protein powder not a meal replacement shake.
