A co worker of mine recently started the body for life program and seems to have had some success with it by losing 10 lbs in 3 weeks. I am curious if anyone else has tried or is on this program b/c my co worker was mostly sedentary and just started working out to. I am thinking about trying it out...anybody have any feedback for me?

Hey there!
I have done the eating for life part of it and followed to some extent the body for life. Is it the nutrition part you are wanting more info on or the workout part? I still follow the nutrition part a LOT and love it for myself..they have a book on eatingforlife and it's great.
Let me know more what you have questions on...it's a lot like Farrell's if you have those in your area.0 -
the nutrition part...i already workout like a maniac and only have a few pounds to lose...i am wanting to cut my body fat percentage so I can see the muscles in my abs that I know are there. I do alot of cardio..atleast 45 min 5-6 days a week and weight train as well, so I am just wondering if this form of eating may help speed up my metabolism. I lost 50 lbs and have kept it off for 3 years and have been trying to get rid of the last few lbs for 3 years.0

I don't follow it exact (I do have the eating for life book..it has LOTS of recipes) but it works great for me. I eat 6 meals a day and have a carb/protein at each meal (this tool is great to track!). Then one day a week I still eat pretty good..but I do allow myself to indulge in those things I really like. You have to allow yourself those things...but makes me feel less bad about it..obviously have to do in moderation!
If you want more info..I put things out a lot on my facebook (Casey Fett) or have free tools to use off my coaching site (www.beachbodycoach.com/ccfett).0 -
Heya, I follow this, I think it's GREAT! If you go on their website you can basically get the entire plan from there :flowerforyou:0

So I am looking into starting this program...Can anyone tell me who much weight they used for each set of reps so that I have an idea of where I may need to start. I know we all have our own individual intensity levels but an idea would help.
Previously lifting weights with a 15/12/10 rep set up I was using about 40# on the machines and 12-15# on dumbbells and was probably at about a level 8 or 9 when finishing the 10th rep on the final set.
Any help or advice on this program would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Sorry I know this is probably not in the right forum discussion section.0
