Hi, I'm new to this place. Just wanted to say that reading all the posts here is quite motivating.
I finally broke down in tears at seeing the scale hit 350... Time to take my life back

Congratulations on making your decision to take back your life and be happy again! Good luck with everything. Take it one day at a time, and never give up. It's hard, but it's so worth it! I started my lifestyle change at 250 pounds, and now I'm around 140 and feel great! Find yourself a support system and use it. Best wishes on your journey!0

Welcome....
I started at 337, as a woman...so I totally understand~!~~! The point is, you are making that great first step! This place is full of LOTS of info... most helpful, some not as much... my advice is to make a few changes to start...then keep adding things as you are able... sometimes changing things cold turkey can be overwhelming! HOWEVER... if you are the type of personality that has to dive in headfirst, find an exercise program you can modify to start as your body needs... i started with turbojam... because I like dancy stuff.. If it's a walk, commit yourself to a certain amount of days per week, maybe 3 or 4..and add as you can! Same with foods... pick things you can live with...it's a lifestyle change, not * just a diet*. Best of luck to you! You can do this!!!!0 -
I just joined up today also. Just added my food and really surprised how quickly calories add up. Hope to get better at food choices and exercise.... getting through day 1....0

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
I look forward to my stay here. I am going to write once a day on the blog they have here. Mostly, I want to have something to remind me of my journey.
After playing around with some of the food calculations.... It's a shocker to see that I can eat anywhere from 4,000 to 5,000 calories a day. I have a plan. I have it written down. This will be the best change in my life.
Again, thanks for the warm welcome.0 -
Don't get discouraged...there are alot of success stories on this site, just keep reading about how people are finally getting to their healthy weight. You can do it too!0
