i have a important cake question

i had to make my sons birthday cake in advance 2 days and its yellow cake with fondant how should i store it for those 2 days

    it should be ok. Bakers sometimes freeze a cake that is going to be prepared ahead of time, but 2 days isn't enough time to freeze and then thaw. Fondant is pretty dry anyway.

    ok good because its been in the fridge for about 2 hours and im just nervous that is going to get ruined

    if you allowed it to cool first (important!), then applied the frosting and fondant, then put it in the fridge - it should be fine.

    As a cake decorator- place it in the fridge (it'll be fine!) and take it out 3 hours before serving. If the condensation hasn't completely dried- take a blow dryer to it... on low.
