It helps me

Watching TV is a time when many people overeat. Commercials for yummy fattening foods make me want to PIG OUT. Keeping a bowl of steamed broccoli or a jar of pickles or some other super low calorie food by my side helps me. No, a salted lemon wedge or celery stalk does not satisfy like fried chicken or cheesy pizza; however, the act of eating is a good distraction and the full feeling in my stomach helps a little. Give it a try if TV sabotages you.

The commercials were always killer for me. (It's also really annoying when Papa John commercials come on the mini tv on my screen at the gym XD)
I tried the snack thing, with broccoli, spinach, and the like and it just made me want to go eat more
It works for a ton of people though, so it's worth a try!
I've resorted to changing the channel when food commercials come on LOL.0 -
Or just plain get away from the boob tube!
I have a canister of cocoa roasted almonds (dark chocolate flavor) nearby for the random craving. The fat and fiber content makes me feel full with just a few!0 -
When I'm in my garage on the treadmill, I will always have two programs that I'm interested in. When commercials come on one station, I switch to the other station, and just keep doing that.0

I'm a night time snacker! So I started keeping popcorn close by, I think it's a good choice alot better than a bowl of cereal that I would use to eat. lol0
