Men, Beer, Recycling.
to MFP men. Hello.
I'm doing a school project about getting men to recycle, specifically they are supposed to recycle their Heineken bottles.
So I have three questions for you:
1. Do you make an active choice to recycle? Why or why not?
2. Do you think recycling is important and makes a difference?
3. If you dont what would get you to recycle?
and if you have any other insight about recycling that you think would be helpful or want to share that be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
:drinker:
p.s. it doesn't matter if you drink heineken.

lol ok
1) Yes. Because it's the one thing I carried forward from my Environmental Science degree.
2) I do think it's important. I have no idea if it makes a difference because in my mind's eye, I see the company I pay to take my recycling just throwing it in with all the other garbage. May not be true, but that's what I see.
3) I already recycle lol0 -
I refuse to drink Heineken. But yes I recycle. I make my own beer, so I reuse all my bottles and ones that I can't reuse, go into the recycling bin.0

I do not drink so I do not recycle my beer, alrighty I hear the cricket chriping on that joke.
1. I do actively recycle, I have a bin right next to my regular trash can {I also have a compost trash bin}
2. I think it makes a small impact on the natural resources and the human footprint.
3. It was a convience thing, as long as there is minimal effort to it then I do it.0 -
I drink Guinness, if I don't have it then I'll drink Heineken
1- Yes. Because I'm a pagan, so to me nature and the planet are as important as my life. Mother nature is a representation of the Goddess, so not contributing to help nature is going against her, and this planet is my home.
2- It is important. People should be aware that the mentality that "no one recycles, why should I" is nonsense. Recycling helps to reduce using new resources.
3- My number one answer. I don't care what anyone says, to me recycling is a way to help my planet.0 -
come on men help me out, i probably should have made the title catchier0

1. Do you make an active choice to recycle? Why or why not?
I do. I don't drink much beer, but I believe that it's a step towards helping to be more efficient as a society. I do recycle newspapers and any plastic containers that are allowed. I'm a Christian & I believe that we were given command of this Earth and we're responsible for taking care of it, the same way we're responsible for taking care of our kids, pets, etc...2. Do you think recycling is important and makes a difference?
Recycling is important. At our current percentage of recycling, I'm not sure if we're seeing an adequate return on the investment of energy & resources to recycle products. BUT that doesn't mean we should give up, it means we should find ways to inspire more people to recycle.3. If you dont what would get you to recycle?and if you have any other insight about recycling that you think would be helpful or want to share that be appreciated.0 -
The town I live in has a curbside recycling program. They provide 3 bins: cardboard, paper, and plastics (numbers 1, 2, & 5). They make it easy to recycle. If it weren't for that, I probably would not.0

1. Yes, I recycle. It's required where I live and they make it easy.
2. Have no opinion on whether it is important.
3. N/A0 -
I actively recycle. My roommate does not. My roommate's argument is that, with the exception of aluminum cans, it is economically irrational to recycle as it costs more to recycle plastics for reuse. My argument is that if more people made a conscious effort to recycle, more money and research would be put toward finding economically viable ways to recycle.
