It's preference. I like green tea straight, and my black tea with milk and sugar. I wonder if people who put milk in tea also milk their coffee?

I'm allergic to dairy, (lucky me :P), but I use coconut milk in mine, which I love.
If I drink it iced, I have it plain though.

No milk in my green tea! It just doesn't appeal!

    black tea- sometimes
    green tea- noo way! lol
  • I put a little skim milk in my green tea.
  • I do! But not that often. I am trying to become more of a tea drinker, but most of those fruity and fun teas give me headaches, and I'm not fond of the taste of black tea, so I usually stick to green tea with a little bit of honey. If I want something with a little more life to it I will add some milk.

I think my favourite thing is peppermint hot chocolate. The coffee shop I go to makes them. They steep a peppermint tea in a bit of hot water, and then steam milk with this fancy pants chocolate powder in it, then they add the two together. It's amazingly tasty. I wonder how a green tea hot chocolate would taste?

I never thought of putting milk in green tea, always thought it was like fruit tea and you shouldnt add any. But i dont much like the taste of green tea so might give it a try i have a large box to finish!

I also have to mention that if you drink Early Grey with milk in and a little sugar it tastes like cake but with less calories!

I always put milk in my black tea, but I have never tried it in green. I'm actually not a huge fan of green tea, unless there's something else in it. A lady at the laundromat gave me a box of green tea with pomegranate, and it's phenomenal. I think I need to go make a cup now. ;P

Grandtheftuno, peppermint cocoa is AMAZING. I make it at home by just tossing a couple of those red and white peppermint hard candies in the bottom of the mug and letting them melt. I never thought to use a peppermint tea bag!
  • That peppermint candy idea also sounds amazing!

I like that they use the peppermint tea because it doesn't add any sweetness/calories to the beverage, and it's a more natural tasting flavour, but I think if I wanted a sugar kick, I would go the peppermint candy route!
