Hello,
I'm new here and I am just trying to figure somethings out. I have been eating well during the week meaning that I am reaching my calorie goal before exercise but I have not been eating back my exercise calories. On the weekends, I tend to let loose and eat pizza and drink beer. So my question is this, should I be aiming to hit my calorie intake on a daily basis or is it fine to just hit it on a weekly basis?
Thanks in advance.

I think the general rule is that if your Calorie Output exceeds your Calorie Input you will lose weight.
So if you eat under during the week and over at the weekends (which is not necessarily a bad thing as it will increase your metabolism during the week) you will still lose weight. Just make sure you don't go over by a lot though
Remember, one pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories (input or output).0 -

You could also have a look at the "Spike Diet". There is a thread that explains the basic principles and calculations here:http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/490371-bmr-calculator-for-calorie-goals
Basically you are eating at a lower calorie range for 6 days and on the 7th you have a "Spike Day" where you consume 2xBMR in calories. The idea of this is to increase the hormone Leptin and to stop the adaptation of the body to the lower calorie range so you can still lose weight every week but "have your cake and eat it too".
Russell has a book available from his website and I purchased the Kindle version on amazon.com.
good luck!0
