Bikes for 300lb plus?

Anybody have any experience with buying a bike for obese people?

I am 5'10" and weigh about 320lbs......... I am looking for a 'cruiser' style bike, but they all say the weight limit is up to 250lbs :-(

    My husband and I just purchased TREK bicycles. He is over 300lb and inquired about weight limit and they said there was none. We have been out several times and he is very comfortable.

    I purchased a Raleigh 2.0 women's bike last year and I love it! I am 5'3 and was 287lbs. I really lacked the confidence that I could ride a bike being so over weight/obese. The bike rides aren't so bad. Go to a local bike shop and let them know your concerns. The sales people there will match you up with a bike that's right for you as well as let you test ride it in the parking lot.
