Hi,

If you go over your calorie intake one day, does it help to eat less the next day, or just continue to eat your net calories. I was wondering because I did this yesterday, and thought if I ate less today, my weekly total would be the same. Does that make sense? Thanks for any inpuTT

Blessings

I always work on a weekly average saving a few 100 each day so when the weekend comes and I'm over its not as bad, and it works for me??

I'm the same, I focus on over the week and try when I do go over to ensure they are not empty sugar or white carb calories.

Works every time for me too Weigh in for me is Monday and I expect to have lost 20lbs in 7 weeks with 2 pretty lame exercise weeks in there too so I'm sticking with this approach.

Sure, I often eat low on a Friday because I know I'll probably be eating takeout on a Saturday. Works for me.

Note: while it works with caloric deficit it doesn't work with macros. Your body can only metabolize certain amounts of certain macros in a given time, so eating low on those one day and high the next doesn't really make up for the imbalance. So if you eat very low cal one day at least still try to get your daily nutrient balance covered.

I have seen it work and have done it myself. My only issue with it is it caused me to get into this vicious cycle where I'd cut my calories back so much I'd be hungry and anxious and neurotic. I'd recommend exercising them off. Less neurotic that way :)
  • I'm new to all of tis, so could youexplain what macros are? I appreciate your input!!☺

    Macronutrients: Protein, Carbs, Fat

I'm not sure of the formula to calculate your goals, as mine was given to me by my nutrient coach, but I'm sure someone with more insight could share.
