New cardio workout question

Hello everybody!
I've been working out 6 days a week, 4 days weight training 2 days of cardio, I was initially doing 30 to 40 min of cardio.
But for Valentines my husband got me a new workout. Which is very high intensitiy and lasts for an hour.
I can barely finish it! It is so much fun, the problem is that afterwards I feel wiped out! I even fall asleep in the couch all of a sudden lol
The next day I feel that I have no energy still and I'm sore, and I'm supposed to continue with my lower body weight taining and it's very hard cause my butt and legs are sore already!
My question is, am I going to improve? or I just have to deal with it?
Thanks

You have to ease into it and make sure you stay hydrated- that will help with your muscles being sore.
Also after an intense cardio workout I like to take a luke warm shower, it helps loosen up my muscles and will wake you up a bit!
Have a quick snack after your work out too should give you back some of the energy you just burned off!
Hope that helps0 -
Listen to your body, if you're wiped out and sore afterwards you're overdoing it and setting yourself up for an overuse injury. Dial it back a notch and build up to the higher intensity gradually, you'll feel better and, ultimately, become fitter because you're more likely to stick with it.0
