I used to be 220 lbs and obese before picking up sports and exercise.

This was me, best pic I've got, I was too insecure and embarrassed to even take before pictures

This was me recently

I'm going to use MFP to help me cut down to 8% body fat and then clean bulk from there while staying lean for the rest of my life.

I'm glad to join this site and it's wonderful to meet so many like-minded individuals.
Feel free to add me and/or ask me anything! :)

    Thanks for the kind words.
Unfortunately, after being insecure for so long, it's probably going to haunt me for a little while longer regardless of what I do lol

    Hahaha

    Thanks!
I am actually cutting a little bit more (gained some fat since this picture).
I estimate the picture at 10-12%, and my goal is 8% for the summer
I will bulk with MFP afterwards!

It took me over a year of lifting and diet but it was worth the hard work.

just curious - I've seen a lot of success story posts but the journey to that point is often very vague

did you use MFP the ENTIRE time? and did you ever have any off days? I've been having alot of off days recently - makes me feel like giving up sometimes.

I did not use MFP until last week, although it would have been extremely helpful to achieve my goals even faster
And of course I had days off, you need to stay sane and not burn out, remember that this is a long journey
