Hi I am at the end of week 5 and I have stuck at this 100% have a long way to go but what Im finding hard is not comfort eating or just eating as I enjoyd what and when
How do you deal with not comfort eating?
I did zumba in 2010 damaged my knee but that took place from comfort eating so I know I need something to make me happy

If you dont comfort eat or havent then you wont understand but its hard when you cant

  • I'm a huge comfort eater too... which ironically took over me after knee surgery!! IT's hard!! I've worked to find healthy replacements are try to do more with portion control which has always been an issue for me. I still allow myself some of my favorites but now it's a treat and not part of a big meal. Like Mac & Cheese. Always loved ice cream but I found some of the lower calorie ones are just as good. Or freeze yogurt cups, let them thaw just a bit before eating and it's better for you than regular frozen yogurt or ice cream. Also love love love cake. If you haven't tried diet soda cake it good and fun to play around with. 10oz of any diet soda mixed with a box of cake mix. You can do fun combos. My favorite is Diet Dr Cherry Pepper with chocolate mix!

You can have it very occasionally or find a way to make healthier versions of what you want.

However, if you eat food for comfort, this could be part of the problem! A lot of this is mindset.

    Good luck!
  • Forgot to mention. Find a friend that understands. When I'm feeling the need to comfort eat I can or text my friend Jess back home. She is pretty good at getting me back on track. Her comfort food. An entire box of velveeta!!!
