big NSV after 88 lbs lost!

When I started MFP over a year ago, I was determined to wear a bikini by this spring break. For a long time, I thought I had to wait until I reached my goal weight to wear a bikini. I've lost 88 lbs since last January, and I still have 12 lbs to go, but this weekend I decided to buy one! I know I don't look amazing in it & I still have work to do, but I finally feel comfortable enough in my skin to wear this! The before picture is from last year at 250 lbs - and now I'm at 162. (and I'm 5'7).

Hopefully this will motivate other people who feel like they can't wear/do certain things until you reach your goal weight or until you think your body is perfect. Appreciate your body now and all the hard work you've put into it already!

    You look amazing! This is really inspiring to me as I started at around the same weight as you and I also want to lose 100lbs. I'd love it if I could wear a bikini after 88lbs...

    What I like best in your post... is appreciating your body exactly where you are at and not waiting for the end goal to celebrate. I know that I can take a lesson from that!
