I sometimes just listen to Pandora when I run, that way I don't have to commit much money to my playlist.

My age will show, but I love the 80's music with a beat... and I like upbeat christian music, perfect, firework and a few others. I like to listen to a few songs over and over so I won't be much help. I also sing along which makes me look pretty crazy, but if I distract myself then I go for longer.

    LMFAO - Party Rock
Is my fave to get me pumped up.. You cant help but have fun with that song.

The rest will depend on what kin of music you like.. What are you mostly listening to?
  • My new favorite running song is Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People. it was recommended to me by another runner.

My list changes periodically. Here are some of the ones I like right now:

*One Card Short (not sure on artist)
    *Just Dance (Lady Gaga)
    *Boom Boom Pow (BEP)
*So Happy Together (New Found Glory)
*I Want you to Want Me (Letters to Cleo)
    *Moves Like Jagger (Maroon 5)
    *I Gotta Feeling (BEP)
    *Loser Like Me (Glee)
    *LIght Up the World (Glee)
*Sexy and I Know It (LMFAO)
    *Party Rock Anthem (LMFAO)
*Wanna Be Startin' Something (Michael Jackson)
    *S&M (RIhanna)
    *We Found Love (Rihanna)
*You Make Me Feel (Cobra Starship)
    *Stereo Hearts (Gym Class Heroes)

Those are several of the current ones. Over time I have had lots of Michael Jackson, Madonna, AC/DC, Van Halen... in addition to upbeat, I choose songs that make me feel happy when I hear them or make me want to turn up the volume!

I have a weird playlist for when I'm running, it's all over the map, but I use it when training for my half marathons and it always does the trick! Here's a sampling (it's over 70 songs long so I didn't include everything):

    Karl Wolf - Africa
Reel 2 Reel - I Like to Move It
Basement Jaxx - Where's Your Head At?
Ace of Base - Beautiful Life
Adele - Rolling in the Deep
    In the Dark - Dev
Collective Soul - Brings Me Down
Summer in the City - Loving Spoonful
Tinie Tempah – Written in the Stars
    Marky Mark - Good Vibrations
    Rammstein - Du Hast
Salt and Peppa - Push It
Thrice - Artist in the Ambulance
    Jamie Foxx - Winner
Victoria Police Pipe Band - Hellbound Train (don't knock the bagpipes till you try them!)
The Cataracs – Top of the World
Kevin Rudolph - I Made It
    Pitbull - Hey Baby
Fort Minor - Remember The Name
    Will I Am - The E.N.D
    Eminem - No Love
Smashing Pumpkins - Bullet with Butterfly Wings

    Enjoy!

Here's what's most recently added to my ever-growing and changing workout playlist. I hit "shuffle", and off I go.
