Hello! I have been gone for 9 mos, but I'm back on again. Since Jan 2, I have consistently been exercising 4 days a week, Cardio for at least 45 min to an hour, strength training and trying to mix it up. I did Atkins in Jan but found while I lost weight, it's not realistic for me. I have PCOS so it's better for me to control my carbs....so finding a happy medium is my goal! I am going to give this a whirl and stay on a 1500 calorie diet. I sincerely would appreciate any support. I love to use my humor to keep going! Thanks in advance for new friends :)

  • I also have been diagnosed with PCOS. Do you find it really hard to lose weight because of it? I'm currently not on any medication for it, but I'm going to try to lose weight, because my doctor said if I lose weight, the syndrome might go away....

Also, on a side note - Were you able to have kids with the syndrome?
  • I take Glucaphage....500 mg twice daily. I was not able too, although I was able to get pregnant when I was 19 - my wedding night! LOL I tried again when I was 27 and just found it was too hard. I'm 40 now....but YES, IT IS INSANE to try to lose the weight. I actually lost 50 pounds about 7 years ago....then I had back issues and they put me on meds that made me gain weight and ultimately, I had to have surgery. SO, I am now back to trying AGAIN for the zillionith time....I wont give up! I know I am better off even tho the scale isnt saying so. There were some pants I couldn't fit into at Christmas and now are big. I am also off some of my BP meds. Hang in there. The best thing to do is find an endocrinologist. I havent gotten one and need one too. I work in a hosp, so I know! :)
