I am realy torn!! Since last year I went from 215 to 185 as of today. I am excited about the loss but am realy upset about loosing my boobs and butt. I have been pleasantly plump my whole life and they have been the parts of my body I havent minded being bigger. I am 26 yrs old sinlge mom with one child but now that I am loosing the weight my boobs look like deflated balloons. Of course I would like to loose more weight but am scared that if I do so my boobs and butt will vanish (thats where my weight is coming off). Do I tone now and not worry about loosing or do I continue on. Its realy affecting my confidence that they are disapearing. I need opinions suggestions any thing to help me through this stump!!!
Thanks for any all replies

Is it healthier to be of a good weight for your body or to have bigger boobs? My boobs and butt are vanishing as well and unfortunately I have found I have the flat butt genes of my mother. But it is much more important to me to lose the weight and be healthy. My trainer says it comes off the boobs first and where you want it off last. I am waiting for that part.
What is a healthy weight for you? Is it worth stopping now because you are really close or should you keep on going?0 -
The good news is that you're young, and youve only had one child yet. There's still time for your skin to bounce back. The older you get, the more you lose 'elastin' which helps your skin remember where it belongs.
Then I have a question. Would you rather be in your normal weight range, BMI, and have your health, or would you rather have big boobs and butt? Do those articles define who you are?
If you're worried about your baby and want to make an impression on her, worry about your health and less about your 'image'. Those articles will be what nature intended them to be, ultimately.
edit: at some point in time later, if you still miss the girls, you can always save for breast augmentation. I highly recommend it, ESPECIALLY after losing unwanted weight/fat!!0 -
Well, it seems to me that you will continue losing where you are currently losing. So, I suggest that you look at overall health over vanity. If you are at a weight that is healthy for your height. Or at the very least, your doctor isn't telling you that you need to lose weight for health purposes, then maybe stop for now. Maintain your current weight, but continue exercising and toning. Maybe six months down the road, after you get used to yourself at your current body weight, you will make a different decision. Maybe not.
If you are at risk for diabetes, heart issues, joint pain, etc. then keep losing. You could always get a boob job later. Start saving up now!0 -
I feel your pain. I'm in the same boat you are. The parts of my body I'm most comfortable with (boobs and butt) are getting smaller and it's really affecting my confidence. I'm 5'10 and I'm still at 202 so I'd still like to get down to 185 at the very heaviest, but according to my BMI I should be 174, but I'm worried I'll look funny and lose my curves at 174. I don't know what to do either! :ohwell:0

The good news is there are plenty of exercises out there to build you gluteus maximus muscles to help keep the shape or reshape your butt. There are even some chest exercises you can do to help lift your chest a little. Thin and firm is always better (healthier and more attractive) than soft and curvy in my opinion. No opinion necessary on the health part, it is fact...thin is better ( at least getting to your ideal BMI).0

Perhaps, the rest of you will shrink, and then your chest and rear end will be big again by comparison0

Absolutely! I have always been gifted in the chest department and I would rather be healthy and lose some butt and boob than to stay overweight. Let's face it, if your boobs and *kitten* are that important to you there's always the option of buying them
When it comes down to it you have to decide for yourself what healthy means to you and realize that at 26 your body hasn't even begun to rebel against you. You won't believe it until you are about 32 or so and all that pleasantly plump becomes unpleasantly saggy. :noway:0 -
I might get shot for suggesting this.... but, imho, there are soooo many great bras out there, and swimsuits for that matter, that push up, pad, enhance, you name it. I'd rather be "healthy and helped" than "fat and fullbusted". There is certainly nothing wrong with being curvy or pleasantly plump either! All a matter of what YOU want YOURSELF to look like....0

Honestly if it is really bothering, concentrate on gaining muscle or toning not so much the heavy cardio sessions for weight loss. You have to live with yourself everyday so reshape your body to what you want it to look like. Eating healthy and exercising is what causes health improvements not being a 'healthy BMI'. :flowerforyou:0

that 's exactly what I was going to say  :laugh:0 -
I'm throwing my opinion in with the healthy and helped comment. I am the same height as you and I feel so much better at 165 then I did at 180. Please don't get upset with me for saying this. There is the impact being a heavier may have on your child. Studies has shown that overweight parents are more likely to have overweight children AND are less like to see that their child is overweight. I have no idea if this is true it your case but it may be something you want to consider.0

I can totally relate. I went from 255 to 178 and my boobs went from nice and full DDD to what I think looks like half inflated water balloons. And I have always loved my boobs! But I know the advantages of the weightloss outweigh the negative consequence of boob-loss. You mentioned that your confidence has gone down because of it but isn't that at least offset by your gain in confidence from being smaller and healthier?
I think if my body doesn't naturally rebound on it's own in a year or two I may save up for a boob lift. They can make internal bras now where you never have to wear a bra again!0 -

reallly!? That would be amazing if only to wear back-less tops or swimsuits without feeling saggy or or oh the possibilities! Did I mention I wear a 34 E soon to be 32 E?0 -
Thank you so much for all your opinions. You are correct it would be healthier for me to loose the weight and I want to be healthier!!! I think part of me is just self conscous that I will not find a man to share my future with because my boobs look like leaky water balloons. I know its just me judging by past experiance but I am having a hard time getting over it. I know in the end I will do whats healthy for me and my daughter.0

It's amazing what a good push up bra can do. Have you tried getting a fitting and buy some new bras? It may help with your confidence.0 -

Okay, so I can totally relate to this post. I have been as you said, pleasantly plump my whole life and if you ask me right now at 235 pounds what my best feature is it would be my breasts. They are quite large and i love them as they are. I do want to loose some weight, enough to get myself back to where I feel comfy. I think the best advice you could have darlin, is not to listen to what others tell you, but to go where you feel comfy, yes "thin and firm" maybe be more attractive to some people but after all we arent doing this so other people feel better about looking at us, were doing this because we want to feel better about ourselves, so figure out where you body feels right to you, and then get happy with it!!0

A good man is not going to judge you on the firmness of your breasts. He will look at the whole package and love it. I met my husband when I was 40 and I was a lot heavier than I am now. He loved me for me, not a specific body part0
