    Whatever the chicken evolved from laid an egg in which was a chicken, so yeah, the egg necessarily came first.

    It was the egg. A similar but slightly non-chicken creature laid an egg which hatched into a chicken.

    Didn't happen, and nobody can prove it.

    There IS, however, TONS of scientific evidence that supports evolution.

    Considering dinosaurs hatched from eggs and chickens are more recent evolutionarily than dinosaurs, yes, eggs came first.

    No fundamentalist bashing, evolution has lots of strong evidence while spontaneous generation of all current life forms has um....zero evidence.
