Polar F4 and Swimming

Has anyone taken their F4 out for a swim? I really want to find out how much I'm burning during my "leisure swims" because MFP gives me a high number and I don't think I'm burning that much.

I don't swim very deep ... I stick to the surface for the most part. It says it's not recommended but I don't know if that means the strap will break when submerged in water .

What is an F4? I swim laps for exercise. Will it help with calculating calories burned? I don't trust the tables and never log it when I swim.

Yes, the Polar F4 is a heart rate monitor that calculates calories burned.

I asked the same question about a month ago and got the same answers! So I have been swimming with it ever since and have not pushed buttons. Try it out, its great to see what your actually burning.
