Injury! What cardio can I do?

Yesterday I injured my knee playing basketball. I am concerned because there is so much pain that I cannot exercise. I need to burn about 350-500 calories per day. The pool is the only thing that I can think of and it hurts. Any ideas?

    can you bike- real or stationary?

    No that hurts. I can barely walk and when I bend my knee is the worse pain. I really think I am in trouble for a couple of weeks or got to get on some pain meds so that I can do something.

    you can try punches box-style moves, you can do that without using your knees at all...

    do them fast and hard, with intention like you really wanted to hit someone... punch to the front or right up...

    jabs, hooks, uppercuts, those are the technincal names I believe..

  • Sorry to hear about your knee.

    I think that you can probably do some research online for thing you can do with just your upperbody. It is a matter of just keeping your body moving.

    Maybe look up exercises that keep you sitting so you can let your knee rest and get better but will still get in some good exercises.

    I hope your knee gets better quickly.

    I think you should be concerned about taking care of your knee.
    Have you seen a doctor?
    Could he send you to a PT?
    The PT may have an arm bicycle which would be cardio...
