3rd Time's a Charm... right?!

Hey all,
My name is Jessica, and I've been at this for a while now. I guess I really wasn't ready to put in the effort to get my life back on track... considering I have failed a couple of times in the process. But, I think I needed to fail to really realize that I need to get my life back in order. I am about 100 pounds overweight, and I think I am finally so tired of looking in the mirror that I can actually do something about it, and stick with it. I know it's going to be tough, as I have tried this before.
But this time is different. Why?
Because instead of wanting to look sexier for my long time boyfriend like before, I want to look sexier for my Fiance now (:
That's right, my long-time boyfriend of over 6 years proposed to me this December on our 6 year anniversary. We're not going to get married until the Fall of 2013, but still, I want to be myself again by the time my big day comes. I still am the girl that he fell in love with all that time ago in highschool, but I want to look like her again too.
And I want to do this for myself. I want my self-esteem back, and I want to be able to shop in any store I want, and not have to worry if they have a plus size section. And I want to stay at hotels or go places in the summer without having to "conveniently" forget my swimming suit because I wouldn't be caught dead in one. I want to be healthy to have kids, and to really enjoy my 20's. I will be 23 in may, and that is prime time to be staying out late, going to clubs, and really living it up. I feel like I can't do that because I'm overweight.
So yeah, that's my journey. I know it's going to be a long one, but I am excited to start this new chapter, finish school, get married, and get my life back.
So be my friend, my support, and I can be yours also! Let's not do this alone!
I AM READY!!! (:

Congrats on your engagement! I joined this site a while ago but this is the first time i'm actually using it & sticking with it! It is hard to keep motivated. Like you, i'm now about 100 lbs overweight. I never used to be big, but 5 years of dating my bf & adopting very bad habits has lead me to being unhealthy. Feel free to add me I don't have any friends on here yet0

First off, Congrats on the engagement! Second, I also have about 100 lbs to lose to be at a healthy weight, and I'm on my 3rd try of losing and keeping it off. I think you'll be successful- especially because you have a really big motivator to keep you going!0
