How much loss is too much?

I am starting over, last time I set my goals too high I think. I want to know if losing 5lbs in a month is too much or too little? In the past I aimed for 10lbs a month and it was just not happening no matter how much I worked or stuck with the program. What do you think?

The healthiest is 1 lbs per week... you may lose more, you may lose less it all depends on your eating habits and exercise.0

Most diets can provide an expected larger weight loss the first several weeks, then taper off as you "settle in" to a new routine. 5 lbs is CERTAINLY a healthier and more feasible goal for weight loss. Remember that you're trying to change a mentality as well, not just physical aspects of your body, and mentally coping with not meeting your 10lb goal every week can be demoralizing. Best weight loss is 1-2 lbs per week, but this also depends on your starting weight! Good Luck!0
