Thai Peanut Sauce
Thai Peanut Sauce
In a saucepan combine:
¼ cup light peanut butter
¼ cup sodium reduced soy sauce
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp sesame seed oil
2 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp garlic powder
Heat over medium heat until bubbling, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and let cool.
Store in refrigerator.
1 tbsp = Calories 39, Carbs 2g, Protein 1g, Fat 3g
For a quick dinner pour Thai Peanut Sauce over cooked chicken and place under broiler for 5 to 7 minutes. Serve with veggies of your choice.

cherylaclark.... the first time I made it I used it as a cold sauce for prawns, cucumber, lettuce and grated carrot wrapped in rice paper. The second time I used it heated over chicken. Both times.... yum!!!0

I make a similar sauce all of the time!!! It is one of my favorites, the only differene is I use lime instead of lemon.0

I make this all the time! Also delicious with a touch of coconut milk. I skip the oil in mine too. Also, I use fresh garlic.
Good with stirfry, over salad, dipping chicken in, eating with spoon. Oh, did I just admit that. Awkward.0 -

I luuuv peanut sauce. My version doesn't use the honey or lemon juice and does include fresh garlic and a bit of shredded carrot.. SO tasty over sauteed veggies and/or chicken or turkey and/or rice. Oh, and I don't heat mine, but I might try that next time!0
