Sugar Busted

Any advice on cutting down on the sugar would be great! I'm having a really hard time staying under my sugar goal each day. The recommendation for me is 26 grams each day and no matter what I am perpetually over the limit. I do not eat junk food, I'll have a little coconut cream sandwhich every once in a while, so I'm basically getting my sugars from fruits and cereals. BTW, I am vegan, I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I thought I'd share it in case people wanted to offer advice like, "Eat more meat". Sorry, no can do :-)

Unless you have issues with sugar (diabetes) I would not worry about your sugar going over with fruits and so forth. I always go throughmy diary if I go over on sugar (which I always do) and make sure they are all healthy sugars (from fruits or other natural sources) . If I notice it other forms then that is when I worry...

Eat less things that come out of a bag or box.

Buy Everyday Food magazine and Whole Living magazine.

    Eat clean.

    That is all.

Thanks! I'll definitely check it out. I've only been a vegan for a month and it's been pretty easy so far, like I said, it's mainly the sugar that gets me. Then again, I have days like today when I eat vegetable sushi with Sweet chili sauce and totally knock myself out of the water *sigh* at least I know for next time, right? :-)
