Hey Everyone!

Im new on here! Here is my deal: I GAINED 15 pounds ON PURPOSE because I was TIRED of having to always get my pants tailored because they would NEVER fit and it was hard to find the right sizes to match my hips:waist ratio...I use to weigh 120lbs and now im 135. Well, my goal was to gain weight in the "backside" area to fill out my slacks, jeans etc. -but apparently, my genetics are : my weight gain = "centripetal" fat instead!

The issue is: I've never had a tummy until i did this and its KILLING me! I want to lose the weight off my stomach BUT NOT lose any of the fullness in my thighs/backside!

If you have been successful PLEASE share what works for you in this EVIL tummy area...

PS: for the past 2 weeks i have been doing the following: workout routine is only doing the elliptical 45 min 6 days/week and I am VERY strict on my caloric intake! but the weight loss is not starting with my tummy-i feel smaller and the scale says I lost 3 lbs but its surely not from my tummy :(

Thanks,
Heavy in the middle

yeah.......I don't think you can do that. ;)

Maybe work on losing and going down to a pants size that works. Or you could always buy one of those booty-fillers they sell in the body shaping section.

Squat with weight. Lunge with weights. Use a barbell for hip thrusts. Do kettlebell swings.

Build your glutes to keep your booty. I'm sure the belly will melt from the work.

You can't spot reduce but how about losing weight (wherever you body want you to lose it) and keep as much muscle in your butt as possible and/or GAINING muscle in your butt? Deep, weighted squats, lunges and deadlifts!
  • Im 135lbs = to a BMI of 22 and some change...

Please dont respond if you have nothing real to say!

    thanks

You cannot reduce fat in specific areas outside of surgery (and that is temporary as your body will rebalance). As others have said, your only realistic option is to increase your muscle, not your fat by doing good strength building in your legs and butt. That isn't guaranteed either, however, but is much more likely to get the results you want.
