OK this may not be anything major to anyone but I consider it a minor success for myself.. last night i was craving fast food sooooo bad for some reason so i looked up the foods i like at those places on this site just to see how many calories and such each item had and couldnt believe just a hamburger had 580 calories! i threw my phone down and went and fixed myself some scrambled eggs with spinach and made the bad feeling past. This is big for me bc my BF eats fast food a couple times a week.. but since he saw how much i struggled last night, he promised to not have it anymore either to help me. :)

Shocking isn't it? And it's not just the calories, most of it is loaded with fat and sodium.

Congrats I definitely understand. I went to the corner store to get a snack and stopped because the glazed donut,I use to eat was 250 calories per serving and I would eat the (whole donut) totaling 1000 calories!!!:noway: So keep posting any changes no matter how big or small matters!!!

I think that is one of the reasons I really like MFP....you can actually see the calories and it really does make you say No Way!. I think this is a Biggie, Great Job!!! I seldom eat out since I started MFP...it's expensive and the calories aren't worth the cost of the scale!

No, I think that's right on! Congratulations!!!

That's why I love that there's a smartphone app. You can look up calories before you order something at a restaurant or buy something at the store. The only difficulty for me is that MFP mostly just has chain restaurants, not the random local places near me.
