Question.....I keep reading that chocolate milk is a great post run recovery....well would an iced mocha latte be ok too? It's nonfat milk, chocolate, and espresso - no whipped cream....I am addicted...

    what you're describing sounds like chocolate milk with coffee in it. If its with in your calorie range then go for it! Milk has some good protiens, and the sugar in the milk and choc. will boost your post-workout energy and replenish carbohydrates. really any low fat protein rich snack is good after a workout!

    and coffee is good anytime :)

    I don't see why a tall, after a good run (not around the block, lol) would be too bad. I stear clear of the chocolate part usually, but i don't deny myself once in a while.

    Post races (sprint tri's and cycling races), I will allow myself a recovery treat like that, but not for regular or training days~

    I dont see why not....but I eat happy meals afterwards since it has chocolate milk!! :laugh:
