Does not weigh more than fat. This is a misconception that has been passed around for years but it is just NOT TRUE. :frown:

A pound is a pound, is a pound! :huh:

But not all pounds are created equal. :noway: A pound of fat is considerably larger than a pound of muscle. (see pic below)

So if you are eating healthier and working out yet the scale has not moved then you probably have lost fat and gained muscle. This IS a good thing so try not to be a slave to the scale.

Instead ask yourself: 1) Do I feel better? 2) look better? 3) are my clothes looser? 4) Do I feel stronger or just healthier overall?
Sure we all want to look good but the bottom line is health! So don't give up! Keep moving forward everyday! If you fall get right back up and keep going! Don't beat yourself up if the scale don't move but DO look for those NSV's and celebrate them!

    Volumetric values as part of the equation, yes it does weigh more ... Remember, spatial occupation relativity is assumed in most casual conversations, especially in regards to body composition - though I would expect it to be specifically defined in an official dissertation. ;)

    Yes by volume. but pound for pound. the weight is the same, a pound! :)
