Couch to 5k rest days

Just wondering what kinds of activities some of you have done, or do, on yours days "off" from Cough to 5k. My favorite activity is the elliptical, but since it's so intense on the legs, I haven't been doing it (or much of anything, for that matter) on that days that I'm not scheduled to run.     I was in the same boat - I used the elliptical all the time - I usually walk on rest days...strength training...swimming would be great too.

    I do my strength workouts on the off-days. I also do the elliptical or the stairmaster.
  • I like to do Pilates to strengthen my core on off days. (I am going to be doing a 5K on July 18th--My first one--Gulp! I can only run 2 miles with out stopping, so far, then run/walk the last mile. It is ok if I have to walk parts during the actual race isn't it?) Good luck to you!
