Need Ideas for Eating Back My Workout Calories

I have been working out a lot lately, and I generally need about 2000ish calories to reach my daily goal. Problem is, to get to that number, I've been relying too heavily on sweets. I am a candy junkie and I find it so easy to just buy a Cadbury egg or some other treat on my way home simply to reach my needed calorie level. Now I'm all for an occasional treat, but I don't want this to be a habit. I'm looking for some high-cal, healthful, and easy-to-prepare foods to take the place of this chocolate overload! My ideas so far: nuts, boiled egg, crackers with guacamole or hummus, kefir, cheese, avocado. Thanks for your help!

^ I'm surprised he didn't suggest Ben & Jerry's...
But really, if you know you are going to work out, start eating higher throughout the day so you aren't pushing yourself at the end of the day.0 -

She's right. Plan to eat more in the morning and you'll have an easier time reaching your goal.
I also like to recommend whole milk if you're not lactose intolerant. It's my go-to for those days when I'm struggling to get my calories. I can chug a few glasses of whole milk and be good (and it has a decent macro balance).0 -
Thank you!! Yes, I am kind of a calorie hoarder. Lol. I always want to hang on to them "just in case" but honestly I always have far too many left by the end of the day. I'll definitely use these ideas - especially the milk one. I always pass a coffee shop on my lunch-hour walk. Hello, whole milk latte!0

Make a delicious protein shake. Mine are 400 calories each, and it's all good stuff.0
