I can't believe I missed this when you first wrote it.

It's so wonderful especially this last bit
You are an inspiration to me, I love your kind words and your honesty, thanks for being my friend on MFP.
I'm going to chase your tail, can't wait to see you reach maintenance and then know I will be doing the same one day.
Thank you for caring enough to write this
I love the " we CAN change what we do next"
    I'm going to exercise NOW...
    xx oo

For me, this journey isn't about hope, or luck, or wishing. It's about DOING ... or in some cases, NOT doing. I have great days and less-than-great days ... sometimes I have epic fail days. Doesn't matter ... the key is to get up and get back on track. That's all. All that negative energy we waste feeling bad or berating ourselves for failures is such a waste. It's done; we can't change it. But we CAN change what we do next.

So. My journey continues, and I can't wait to see where I'll be this time next year. Forward we go!

Thank you for posting your story. WOW! Amazing! Where are you from in the Midwest? I am originally from Wisconsin but live in Virginia now.

I really needed to hear your story. I just finished my first week on MFP and lost 7 pounds. I have 110 pounds to lose. I have lost and gained large amounts of weight several times but always go back to my bad eating habits. I also believe I am addicted to food.

It has been hard to get started again because 110 pounds just seems too overwhelming. Every time I think about getting started I think about how much work it took before to lose large amounts of weight. So I am defeated before I even start.

But this time I think it is going to be different (although I have said this before). I just FEEL like it is going to be better. I am really trying to not think about 110 pounds but one meal, one day at a time.

I love this site and now look forward to logging my food and exercise every day. I am enjoying so many new, healthy foods. I plan to make this a life time commitment, not just until I reach my goal weight.

Thanks for the inspiration and motivation I needed it at the start of my new journey.
