I wrote my first blog in September with the intention of updating about once per month, but I haven't held to that. I just wrote my first blog since September, and I am going to try to stay faithful to update at least once a month on the day of my monthly weigh in. I would love to have some subscribers, since my primary reason for writing the blog is to be an encouragement to other people here on MFP. If you write a blog please leave me a link here or send me a link in a PM (personal message) so I can follow you, as well. Here is a link to my original blog: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/jcstanton?month=201109

Well, since this has been posted for 5 hours with no response, I'm guessing that either it's a "no" to my question, or nobody cares. LOL Oh, well, I tried. :ohwell:

Your story is interesting. I don't blog, per se. Journaling is something I have done in the past concerning some other issues and I found it helpful. It was of course a private thing but it was most helpful to me to re read. . Keep at it. The Thyroid treatment may very well help in more than one area... Glad to hear the Gym is helping you. I really find my gym monitors to be most helpful and encouraging. It is a great community. It is interesting to think that so often we are self-conscious about joining because we feel they will look down on us because we are in the shape we are in or are unable to accomplish what we think they think we should... However, it is quite the opposite.

    Best wishes.

I like to blog rather than keep my journaling private for two reasons. One, I have learned that the best way to find encouragement is to be an encouragement to others. Two, it helps keep me movtivated and accountable to know that others are looking to me for inspiration. I don't like the idea of letting anyone down, least of all myself. I know that I have a long way to go yet, and there will be many obstacles along the way. I am hoping that, if I can find a way around those obstacles, maybe it will make the path easier for those who are following behind me.

I do but it's a conversation with myself and to record progress, doubt it would be of any interest to anyone but myself so I keep it private. I've seen others use it for support though so please do bump this thread a few times if you don't get many subscribers

i blog when i can...usually when i'm having a particularly hard day, had a major set back, or...exactly the opposite. i blogged a couple years ago during my quest to lose 15 pounds by my 10th wedding anniversary and it helped me tremendously in losing almost that much (i made it to 12 pounds lost).
now i'm blogging to try to re-lose what i've gained back. it's a lifelong struggle and journaling has always been a big help...so blogging seems natural. but like others, it's not a great read, since it is mostly me re-capping and trying to figure out what to do next. i have subscribed to yours though, b/c i do like to see how others are dealing, from time to time! :)
    good luck!!

I like to blog so that when I am having a hard day I can go back and see what I USED to struggle with and see how far I have come. I recently read back to where I couldn't even get through week 1 of the cough to 5K training program. Now I am on week 3 where I am running A TON more and almost ready to move to week 4. It is nice to record your highs and lows and look back on it :) Happy blogging!!

I've been getting alot of hits on my blog today, as well as several friend requests. Thanks for the love, everybody. I'm really enjoying all the positive comments and feedback I've been getting. Keep it coming. :drinker: Makes me feel like I'm doing the right thing by making myself vulnerable in order to help others.

I would definitely follow your blog! :) I just searched "blog" to see if there were any threads for people to post that they use their blog so other people will know and will actually read it and possibly benefit from it. haha I just started, but I will probably write something once every few days.
